A Year of NAMO rule..Did it Really value my vote?

A Year of NAMO Rule..Did it Really value my vote?

One Year Before.i.e 16th May 2014..India experienced a change in the political system of the country...Probably the last ray of hope for better country and its future in Modi after his announcement as a Prime Ministerial Candidate.Last year just before elections I penned down an article showing support to the move. This one I am trying to just analyse if the support valued my vote. For Readers i would like to keep it open as there might be differences of opinion depending the preference of work and its importance.

Appealing "Acche Din" from his slogans in speeches before the elections to the mango people in the largest democracy which participated with zeal and also celebrated the massive victory across the country.Followed by first ever PM to bow in front of Parliament publicly just made the people drive crazy.India saw a contrast in a decade from a non speaking PM to an interactive PM. Modi connected well with the masses through mediums like "Mann Ki Baat" and MyGov on social media. There were no doubts in his oratory skills well before election results and the speech from Red Fort just added an extra feather, it just touched the hearts of millions.

Many of his critics try to play with this strength and say he is just a man of words so lets try to see what he has achieved through actions. Are we really towards "Acche Din"?? Modi's biggest success in past 1 year is his foreign policy and the way he has handled it right from the first day was appreciated across all people and region.
He perfectly played by inviting SAARC nations leaders to his Oath Ceremony sending a direct message to the world that India is not alone and all its neighbors are with India. The way he planned his tours right from Japan, South East Asia and then USA was a great strategy to draw worlds attention in a positive manner.
His speech at the Madison Square made each and every Indian not only proud but victorious in his heart, can you just think the very same man was rejected VISA by US and now welcomed with open hands after his victory-proves that nothing is permanent.USA has already promised us a 50 BN and Japan 35 BN investments is a major step towards development.
Many believe that Modi's foreign trips are a waste and we would hardly achieve anything from them but I would defer from them. Firstly Modi is selling India in a positive manner to the world rather than begging through "Make in India" and Smart Cities Projects. Investors from different countries have shown interest which is a commendable achievement in first year and might just lay the proper foundation for "SABKA SAATH SABKA VIKAS".Secondly his self reliable approach and strong conviction might just build India's road to a permanent seat in the UN security council.Evacuation help in Yemen not only to fellow Indians but citizens across globe and also help to victims in Nepal was really something which the world never expected from us, in fact neither the real India did.The e-tourist visa and visa on arrival has surely narrowed the gap between rest of the world and India.Undoubtedly he has surpassed expectations on Foreign Policy and surprised many with his liberal approach which was proved by US President Obama being invited to Republic Day at Red Fort and he accepting the same without any doubts.

Now the real inside domestic picture-  Can anyone in India believe MPs scrapping lunch hour, sitting beyond 6 pm to pass bills ?? Yes, its happening and its our very own Parliament. I would surely re-vote on the above one point if this happens for all 5 years given when we are used to see even a  small government office also close at sharp 6 or 5 evening time.
Not only the Parliament but he has a personal and close watch on all his aides in the cabinet, trying to get the best out of them.He has also promised to provide a report card of his performance to the country. There hasn't been a single misrepresentation of work from any of his ministers till now which is indeed a hopeful and strong sign, if its intact for coming years will curtail corruption.Connecting Eastern States to India on a priority basis and urgency shows Modi's vision of  one united India as a whole in a true sense. His appeal for Swatch Bharat Mission is showing slow impact on public places like stations, hotels, government offices etc. At-least a PM who not only cared but appealed for clean India in 60 years. If this mission is successful it not only creates a healthy Eco-system but will widely strengthen our Image globally. Modi has tried to reach the poor directly via "Jan-Dhan-Yojana" and Skill Development Scheme in his first interim as well as Financial Budget. He showed that he is a true Gujju as he joined crores of non-tax payers to the financial system contributing around 15000 crore in the account but also leading to a massive increase in the account holders from 17.5 crore to 31 crore ie 95 percent in just last one year. The latest social security measures on providing a mere 12 rupee premium accidental insurance and 330 rupees premium life insurance are also something which the nation should surely applaud. On the contrary Land Acquisition Bill is facing some serious criticism due to dual faced opposition. Modi needs to reach the farmers and rural public in a positive and correct manner to pass on his message accordingly. In my view the bill will do justice to the current Indian Economy and as a matter of experience it is a great success in Gujarat, don't think people have left farming in the state as still agriculture contributes to 13 to 16 percent development.
Financial Markets have been showing a very positive mood since Modi is come to power. The below news in pictures are also its proof of its performance in every sector. Though a lot to cover in the infrastructure and manufacturing sector in coming years which would be Modi's real test. The insurance bill allowing 49% FDI and being more liberal will allow more security to new business. Also the laws pertaining to improving the entrepreneurship and boosting the new financial hubs in India will help to boost the country in long term. I clearly remember him quoting that his first job was to create a system which will clear hurdles for current projects rather than bring few new ones and get them stuck too,so that sounds a rational long term plan.Roadways and Transport ministry its at his peak performance since Independence, Shri. Nitin Gadkari  is performing well beyond expectations and is taking efforts to strive for 30 km new road connectivity on a daily basis. Railways are really been concentrated on high priority for development and Bullet Train doesn't seem to be a distant dream any-more.Bringing Prabhu from beyond party culture was an immense step which showed great intent towards development and he has paid off well in the first budget by taking major steps such as allowing 100% FDI, not burdening by announcing new trains. Results in this sector cannot be expected at one go and we shall be patient as Rome was not build in a day.Inflation was a main issue in the elections and lets see what he has able to achieve here Inflation Rate is showing a decline on monthly basis as per the report by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI), India.
The inflation rate in India was recorded at 4.87 percent in April of 2015. Inflation Rate in India averaged 8.60 percent from 2012 until 2015, reaching an all time high of 11.16 percent in November of 2013 and a record low of 4.38 percent in November of 2014.
Lastly I would like to come to the defense sector where first urgency was to give forces its freedom and confidence "the trigger will answer bullets coming from across border and Delhi wont interfere" was a strong message to our rivals, India's politeness can't be considered its weakness. Strong results were seen when Indian Fishermen were released by both Pakistan and Sri-lanka as a gesture. Also most of the cross border firing is reduced though its not stopped but our rivals now realize that India has a strong government and it shall not think twice before a counter-attack.So clearly a win here too.

As any mature Indian would think so for his/her worth for vote , for me first year it really paid off  where Modi has able to look after inflation rates, fiscal deficits, strong policies, Swatch Bharat, Make in India, Smart Cities,Jan Dhan Yojna etc and great intent to work further towards "Acche Din" has proved his work through actions . IMF and Forbes have already said that India is on a path towards the fastest growing economy as qutoed by IMF -

India will overtake China as the fastest growing emerging economy in 2015-16 by clocking a growth rate of 7.5 per cent.

Impatience is always driven from over expectations and most of us expect a lot from Modi and its our right too but we need to understand that the more time a tree takes to grow the more stronger are its roots ,so currently we need to believe in him for next 4 years and make sure we contribute on our part as well.Would like to conclude saying at-least he has able to create an environment where the youth is concerned about the country and the people ruling it which itself is a win for Modi. Pasting few snaps below which encouraged me to write this note..Always open to your thoughts.

  1. Its an awesome effort by Mr. Narendra Modi, the cabinet and the government as a whole for giving a rejuvenating start for the country to march on the path of progress. There are some people who criticize, pull legs; others who praise the government, support them and even others who stay silent and neutral but the real question is do we as an individual are ready to accept progress in practical terms and play the most important part as "one contributing to the whole"?? Is every Indian ready to walk the path and undertake the best effort possible to fulfil the dreams That we have seen together? I think realisation that "Boond Boond Sagar bata hai" has to flow in everyone's blood so that any step taken by the govt does nt go in vain....
